Col. Potter Recalls some Soulful Oldies!

Written by a CP Intakes Coordinator

Roberta Flack, an approximately 1 year old Wheaten Female

Percy Sledge, an approximately 1 year old Wheaten Male

When you're young and in love, the whole world is an adventure.  For most of us, that conjures up distant memories from a more youthful time.  We were free to explore the countryside with our young love, possibly with the top down on a sporty car, playing what are now some soulful oldies such as "When a Man Loves a Woman" by Percy Sledge and possibly the immortal Roberta Flack with such hits as "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face:, "Killing Me Softly with His Song" and who could leave out "Feel Like Makin' Love".  They were simpler times, life was good, and "free" love was everywhere.

That life still existed for a young Cairn couple that were discovered traveling the rural countryside in the South by themselves.  They graciously accepted some Southern hospitality and, with the help of their hosts, have now found their way to the good life with CP.

We are pleased to introduce CP's own Soul Singers:

#6287  -  Percy Sledge -   M Estimated 1 year old, Wheaten
#6286  -  Roberta Flack -  F, Estimated 1 year old, Wheaten

Percy Sledge's "When a Man Loves a Woman" was written when his girlfriend left him to pursue modeling.  And so will be the case when Percy Sledge and Roberta Flack have completed their spa treatment and each travel to a foster home.  And I'm sure Roberta Flack's retort will be "Killing Me Softly with His Song".

May CP''s Percy Sledge and Roberta Flack continue to make beautiful music for many years to come with a happily ever after for each of them!
