Leilani is Transplanted into Col. Potter’s Garden!

Leilani, a 3 year old Light Wheaten Female

How about a grand CP “Aloha” for our new girl, sweet Leilani (Lay-Lah’-Nee).

“Leilani” means “Heavenly Flower” in Hawaiian, and this little angel is truly a gift from above.  Leilani is a petite, wee cairn at only 11 pounds, and she’s all of three years old!  This precious darling was found as a stray on the sidewalks of New York and was taken to a shelter there.  Because of her sweet temperament and undeniable good looks, she was adopted from the shelter very quickly.

Sadly, her new owner proved to be too much of a globe-trotter for Leilani, and she thought it best — after four months — to give away the little dog rather than to take Leilani with her on her world travels.  So Leilani soon found herself in a new home, again, with four (4!) young children to keep her company.  Well, perhaps Leilani proved to be one child too many for the beleaguered mother, and for the third time she found herself on the “I Need a New Home” list.

Leilani is about to find out that three times is a charm - and Col. Potter will see to that!  Thank you, Alice S. and Linda N. for going the extra mile for this little girl.

Welcome aboard, sweet Leilani!  You’ll be in your new forever “Forever” home in the blink of an eye!

P.S. "Sweet Leilani" is a song featured in the 1937 film, Waikiki Wedding. It won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and Bing Crosby's record became one of the biggest hits of 1937.
